We are excited to announce Sydney Werry in the role of Eve in our production of “A Christmas Carol” A New Musical. World Premiere of “A Christmas Carol” is a new musical with music and lyrics by Daniel and Tami Orama and directed by Bryan Radtke. I have the honor of highlighting each cast member. In the end, there would be no show without them. I can't tell you how appreciative we are of the cast. Sydney graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson in May 2015 where she received her degree in theatre. She moved to New York city in August from Palm Springs, California and is very exciting to be making her NYC debut in “A Christmas Carol” A New Musical with the Orama Theatre Company. Sydney has been studying acting, singing and dance since she was seven. She participated in California Musical Theatre’s Camp Music Circus, was a member of the Sacramento Theatre Company and attended the Open Jar Institute college program in New York. Sydney’s favorite role was playing Judy in A Chorus Line when she was 17, but her theatre career started with her first professional part in the Sacramento Theatre Company’s production of A Christmas Carol when she was 9, funny how things come full circle! Sydney most recently received the award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Barbara in BOOM. In high school she received the Actor of the Year Award for her portrayal of Brooke in Noises Off. She was nominated for the Desert Theatre League’s Most Outstanding Juvenile Award for her performances in Night of the Iguana and A Chorus Line. It is no surprise Sydney is quickly hitting the stages of NYC after her recent graduation in May of 2015. A claim that many young performers would love to have when heading to the heart of theatre, NYC. Her poise and grace to the role of Eve is capped with beautiful vocal ability. We look forward to hearing her grace the stage in our final performances. We encourage you to find out more about Sydney by visiting her website www.sydneywerry.com I leave you with one of Eve’s touching lyrics regarding Scrooge, “He will see the light above, that will give a second chance. Again, in life he will receive.” Until the Next Time, Daniel Daniel is a highly sought after industry professional in voice instruction, especially in the art of breathing.
