We were so excited to drop off 21 coats today at the Rosedale Library, which is one of the drop off locations for New York Cares. The girls were touched to know that a young boy or girl would be receiving a new coat this winter. Fortunately, our winter has just started getting cold, making us right on time. "New York Cares was founded by a group of friends who wanted to take action against serious social issues that faced NYC in the late 1980s. Finding few options to help, they created their own organization to address the problems from the ground up. New York Cares is now the city's largest volunteer management organization, running volunteer programs for 1,300 nonprofits, city agencies, and public schools. Today's volunteers share our founders' vision that we all have a role to play in making our city a better place". Click HERE to read more about their story. We want to thank all of you who supported "A Christmas Carol" A New Musical Kickstarter. Just think, because of you, 21 children will have a beautiful warm coat as shown above. A follow up blog will be coming soon for the 48 blankets that will be keeping 48 warm bodies this winter. We look forward to taking this a new level of giving for "A Christmas Carol" A New Musical 2016.
